Good to know, before you go.

A few small things that make the difference between being a tourist and being a guest.

  • VisasMost nationalities can enter Bali on a 30-day Visa on Arrival (IDR 500,000), extendable once for another 30 days. For longer stays, a B211A visa is available.
  • Currency & paymentsIndonesian Rupiah (IDR). Cards widely accepted in restaurants and cafés. ATMs everywhere. Cash helpful for street warungs and markets.
  • SIM cards & dataeSIM packages from Airalo or Holafly work instantly. Or grab a local Telkomsel SIM at the airport for under IDR 200,000.
  • Dress codeCasual and light. A sarong (easy to buy locally) is required to enter any temple. Out of respect, keep beachwear to the pool.
  • Weather & packingYear-round warm (27–32°C). A light rain jacket in wet season. Reef-safe sunscreen, mosquito repellent, light layers for evenings.
  • Time zoneWITA — UTC+8. No daylight saving. 7 hours ahead of Prague in summer, 6 in winter.

What to expect.

A quiet rhythm of communications — just enough to feel prepared, never enough to feel managed.

Things worth knowing.

Do I need a visa? +
For most nationalities (Czech, EU, UK, Australian, US, Canadian, etc.), the 30-day Visa on Arrival is available at DPS airport for IDR 500,000 — extendable once for another 30 days. For longer stays, apply for a B211A visa before you depart.
Is the villa family-friendly? +
Very much so. Two bedrooms, full kitchen, private pool with a safety edge. We provide cribs, high chairs and pool floats on request — just let us know in advance and they'll be ready before you arrive.
How do I get from the airport? +
Three ways: our private transfer (IDR 400,000, free for direct bookings of 5+ nights), a Grab/Bluebird taxi (IDR 250,000 — 300,000), or pre-book your own driver. The drive is 35–45 minutes depending on time of day.
What's the cancellation policy? +
All bookings follow the cancellation policy of the platform you reserve through (Airbnb, Booking.com, or direct). We'll confirm the exact terms applicable to your booking at the time of confirmation.
Can I extend my stay once I'm there? +
If the villa is available, absolutely. Just ask Agung a couple of days before your check-out. Extensions are charged at the same nightly rate with no penalties or surcharges.
Is it safe to drink the water? +
The villa has filtered drinking water in every kitchen, safe for drinking. For outside, stick to bottled water (IDR 5,000 from any shop). Brushing teeth with tap water is fine.
Should I tip? +
Restaurants add a 10–15% service charge automatically. Tipping beyond that is appreciated but never expected. For private services (chef, massage therapist, driver), 10–15% is a generous and common gesture.
What if I have a medical emergency? +
BIMC Hospital in Kuta and Siloam Hospital in Denpasar are both excellent and equipped for international patients (both accept travel insurance). Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Agung can arrange transport or assistance 24/7.
